Hello my friends,
I invite you to read my story, and how I fell in love with drums.
Lets start from the beginning... Well, not from when I was born, but from less then 3.5 years ago.
I was 11 and 9 months and my Bat-Mitzva came closer and closer.
At the beginning of my 6th grade, my class started to learn some beats and percussion and I was sucked into this world. When there were left only 3 months to my Bat-Mitzva, I knew this is what I want to do in my life and that I want to perform with drums in my Bat-Mitzva.
Before my drum career, I started in the age of 3 to learn music. At the age of 4 I played the violin but I didn't like it. At the age of 6 I learned guitar and stopped at the age of 8, I just felt I didn't find my passion, yet.
At the age of 11 years and 9 months, when I started to learn professionaly on a drum kit, I immediately knew that I am not going anywhere - DRUMS ARE MY FUTURE!!!
When my Bat-Mitzva arrived, my first performance arrived, as well.
I was so nervous, but excited as well. The show came and I start playing the drums with a background music. I felt so nervous but at the same time excited and happy - that I made it!
That was the best feeling I've ever had!
When I finished my 6th grade, we had a giant show, and I, of course, was the drummer.
In Israel terms, 2,000 people in an elementry-school performance is a huge thing (ask Meytal
, but I actually made it too and won to the crowd's applause. Then people talkes with my parents and told them that I have to do something and let other people watch and hear me, and that I will be a huge star, one day.
From then on, I focused on uploading videos to YouTube, to get better and to perform in school's events in front of (not less then) 2,500 people.
These performances helped me to build and improve my self-confidence and the want to get better and better.
Now, when at last week I turned 15, I am going to a new journey in my life, my journey to the success and being famous.
I have patient, but I don't like to use it
I think that the main character who I owe to a billions of "Thank You" and appreciation, is my amazing drum teacher - Guy Ben Barak (You probably heard about him ![]()
Guy is my drums mentor and helps me to get better and better, to learn new things in a way that I like and to build my successful drumming career.
I thank him for that and appreciate him a lot.
This is basically me. I am a 15 year old drummer girl from Israel, with a passion in life to drums.
More then drums, I learn at the university, go to the Scouts and having fun! (this is what life are for, aren't it?).
Before I will finish, let me tell you something about me:
I never ever ever quit, I have an enormous will power and the third thing, as my teacher Guy defines me - I Play The Pop In Rock (:P).
I thank you for your time, please vote for me if you think I deserve that and tell your friends to vote for me, too
Thank you very much,
Adi Mashash.
